Contemporary wedding fonts for highly personalised mirror table plans

mirror table plan modern calligraphy - 7

The Love Storey font book is one of the most important tools which will help you determine the style and design of your mirror table plan.

Most of the mirror table plan fonts which I design with are contemporary wedding calligraphy and script typefaces.

Each table plan designed and made by Love Storey takes into consideration the size of the mirror that you sourced, making each table plan absolutely unique. The best of all – the design service is included in the cost. To view the prices please visit the mirror table plan product listing.

Please note most of these fonts are suitable for the headings of the table plan. That includes the bride and groom names plus table titles. The best practice is to display the guest names in well-readable serif or all caps fonts.

Before you order a mirror table plan, a welcome sign or a different type of mirror/glass sign, it is best to email me your mirror measurements first. Prices may vary slightly if your mirror is large or extra large.

If you haven’t looked through our blog yet and you were wondering how to apply these vinyl transfers, please view our complete 10 steps video tutorial.

Below is the list with the most commonly used fonts. If for whatever reason you wish your mirror table plan to match your order wedding stationery, and the font which you want is not included in our list, please contact me to request an exact match.

Make a mirror/glass seating plan table plan with our vinyl decals. Easy.

With our peel n’ stick vinyl decals, you can adopt the trend for using mirrors and glass and DIY a simple, elegant and clean seating chart table plan. If you have already purchased out vinyl decals, this post will help you apply them easy and with great quality. Watch the video and FOLLOW ALL 10 STEPS to make your mirror table plan successfully.

Step 1 – Unpack and lay out

Unpack your vinyl sheets. Print the digital proof which we have signed off and use as a guideline to it all lay out. It is best to do it first on the mirror itself.

step one mirror wedding plan

Step 2 – Prepare the tools

You MUST use a squeegee. It is important to press the letters really well with a hard flat rubber surface. This will make all the difference in removing the vinyl from the transfer tape and applying on the mirror with ease. The other two tools which will be good to have are a weeding tweezer (or just any regular pointy tweezer) and a cloth for glass.

Step-2-tools-you-need

Step 3 – Press really reeeeally well!

Press the vinyl sheets really well! Depending on your individual order, you might get a few tables one one sheet on each table on a separate sheet. First, press the back of the vinyl sheet for approximately 30-40 seconds FOR EACH TABLE and then the front where the transfer tape is for further 30-40 seconds. Remember to press all sides evenly and hard.

If your design is more complexed and is consist of more than 10 tables, you might find it easier to temporarily keep the vinyl sheets on the mirror BEFORE the transfer tape is removed. You can use small strips of sellotape to keep the vinyls in place. Then, you can execute Step No 3 on the mirror itself.

Step-3-press-vinyl-sheets-with-scraper

Step 4 – Remove the transfer tape

Even though you’ve press the vinyls well with the squeegee, you might get a few letters stuck on the sheet. If that happens, roll the transfer tape slightly just to cover that letter and press until the letter doesn’t detach from the sheet. Best results are achieved if you keep a 45 degree angle between the vinyl sheet and the transfer tape (unlike me on that picture).

Step 5 – Weed the vinyl

You might get a few bits of paper stuck to the sticky side of the vinyl like on the below picture. This happens if the blade cuts slightly deeper than the rest of the vinyl media. It is rear, but you may need to remove a few of the paper bits with a pointy tweezer.

step 5 mirror table plan

Step 6 – Stick on the mirror

If you haven’t already secured the vinyl sheets on the mirror with tape (to know its exact position), now its time to get really precise with placing the vinyl lettering and transfer tape on the mirror. Keep a steady hand. Hold the transfer tape in the top corners and place gently on the mirror.

step six mirror table plan

Step 7 – Press and press and press with the squeegee

The transfer tape is on the mirror. Well done. You can relax for a minute. This is your most important, yet most relaxing step. Press the vinyl lettering through the transfer tape with a squeegee A LOT. Before I made the video where I am pressing the two tables for approximately 40 seconds, I did another minute off camera. You really have to take your time with this and almost press every letter individually, especially the letter “i”, because of the dot.

Step 8 – Remove the transfer tape at 45 degree angle

If you have done Step 7 correctly as described above, removing the transfer tape should be a very satisfying and pleasurable experience. Remove the transfer tape at approximately 45 degree angle and only the vinyl lettering will stay on the mirror.

You may get a few letters that stay stuck on the transfer tape, same as when you were removing them from the vinyl sheet in Step No 4. Similarly, you can roll the transfer tape back on the mirror, press it with your squeegee and peel off.

Step 9 – The “Just in case” sheet

Every customer will receive a “Just in case” sheet with vinyl letters and dots of the letter ‘i’ the same font size. In the unlikely event of a few letters not being able to stick on the mirror, you can get them directly from the “Just in case” sheet with pointy tweezers and place them on the mirror separately.

just-in-case-sheet

Step 10 – Clean

To finish the table plan, use a dry clean glass cloth. Don’t worry to go over the letters with the cloth. They will not come off, so even if there is finger marks between the lines and the names, you can wipe and polish off.

I would like to say a HUGE THANKYOU to Nelly who supported my company "The Event Designer" at a recent child's birthday party I styled and managed. Beautiful vinyl writing for both our Cake Display and Childrens Wheels on The Bus!

We have been working with Nelly for around 2 years now on various projects that come our way, Table plans, welcome signs, Quote displays, you name it, and she is always super friendly, highly professional and a dream to have as part of my team! Highly recommend, I ordered a mirrored table plan for my wedding in September 2019. Lovely company to deal with, I liaised with Nelly who was so helpful, reassuring about any potential changes that may have to be made along the way. Due to table layout, I did have to make changes to our table plan and it wasn’t any trouble at all. So pleased with how it looked on the day. Would definitely recommend this company. Thank you

Over the moon we got our table plan from Love Storey Weddings. So so helpful. Even when we had to make a few last minute amendments Nelly was beyond helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and I’ve already had a few girls ask me for their weddings. My wedding planner had also asked for their details to use again for the future. Highly recommended !! Thank you so much again.

Can’t thank Nelly at love story enough. Needed stickers for wedding favours very last minute as the supplier I was planning to use stopped doing them. Nelly was actually fully booked just about to down tools for annual leave so didn’t want to commit to my order incase it wasn’t here on time. However when I explained I was really struggling to find anyone else who could do these Nelly so very kindly accepted the order and printed that day for me. Communication via email was so easy.
Thank you so much again for your kindness in doing this xxx

Destination wedding stationery at Aaron and Faye’s classic Italian villa wedding

Amore Italia

I don’t believe there is a woman who does not love Italian weddings. The warmth and authenticity of a Sicilian villa. The gentle glow from the sun. The rustic and relaxed feel of the Mediterranean. Faye and Aaron’s wedding strikes the balance between all these things. An epitome of beautiful and romantic destination wedding, flooded with colour and passionate Italian vibes.

Faye is one of my most favourite customers from wedding season 2015. Her custom brief included a complete set of wedding reception stationery: a table plan, place cards, table name cards, menus and gifts for the guests – fans with custom gift tags – all in a boho chic style with hand folded paper flowers in different colours.

The spotlight was on mixing summer shades of mint, yellows, peach, orange, coral and pink… We even had to re-print a few name cards, because Faye wanted each guest place cards with a different colour and no two people sitting next to each other had to be the same.  I absolutely loved and shared her enthusiasm of making every detail perfect.

Faye and Aaron’s Love Story

How you met and for how long you were a couple before you got engaged?

Aaron and I met on a night out. He already knew my sister and her husband and approached me in a bar thinking I was my sister. We had been together a year and a half before we got engaged.

Where was the engagement?

We got engaged at Luton Hoo Hotel Golf and Spa. Aaron had the engagement ring put in a glass of champagne and had it brought over to us. I spotted it straight away, the champagne didn’t stay in the glass for long &#X1f60a

How long did it take you to get everything organised for the wedding?

We got engaged in February 2014. I started enquiring about venues abroad in March. We went to view our venue Villa San Crispolto in Passignano sul Trasimeno in July and got married the following year (July 2015) at Cortona Town Hall. I also enquired with venues in Spain but Marco at Romantic Italian Weddings did everything he could to put my mind at ease and made me realise that Italy as a venue would win every time. He was very patient with all my questions and gave me all the information I needed and more! There isn’t anything which they haven’t already thought of for your wedding day, a truly idyllic location.

Italian wedding 9

What did you most enjoyed about it?

The most enjoyable part was finding my wedding dress and trying them all on, I miss doing that so much. The best part about the wedding was that it lasted a whole week so we got to spend quality time with our family and friends.

If there is one wedding planning advice you can give future brides, what is it?

To be organised and not leave everything to the last minute. I managed to relax and enjoy the Italian sun before our wedding day as all the hard work had been done early enough.

The wedding table name cards are the Italian translations of romantic words like Love, Kiss and Forever. To be consistent with the silver glitter menu, we made them with silver glitter backing, but mixed with hand folded paper flowers from our Boho Chic collection.

Florist – a lady called Cristina Faluomi who I can’t recommend enough, she managed to produce my dream bouquet.

Modern autumn wedding that will take your heart

At a Glance

Brandy and Angel Ramos were married in September 13, 2014 in the heart of the Silicon Valley – San Jose, California. They wanted a relaxed day and ceremony, followed by a fabulous reception with over 120 guests in the grand Saint Claire Hotel.

Brandy and Angel

They were introduced through friends after six months they fell in love. Angel proposed to Brandy overlooking the ocean at Spanish Bay in Carmel, CA. They had a 14 month engagement period and after the wedding they took a 3 week honeymoon to Italy, Spain and Greece. Aahhh :)

Colours and theme

After the gorgeous couple, my next most favourite thing about this wedding are the warm autumn colours and the tables filled with the prettiest and most amazing details.

Inspired by the seasonal tones of the fall, the wedding decor is created in rich and beautiful mix of red, orange, amber and a touch of gold. The entire setup is exquisite and the richness is unmatched.

A standout are definitely the floral table centrepieces held in tall glass bases, with the most gorgeous white flowers, yellow roses with red on the tips of the petals and gorgeous dry curly branches.

For me, it’s unspeakable pleasure that Brandy chose our set of place cards and table numbers to compliment her wedding tables. Like you can see on the pictures, the place cards and numbers were created with the coordinating for the colour scheme pearlescent gold paper and hand folded flowers in red, orange and vanilla. With such gorgeous textures and just the right amount of modern style, Brandy and Angel’s wedding steals my heart.

Advice from the Bride

The best advice that we can give is to start planning as early as possible. It is important to remember that the wedding day is about staying true to yourself and is not about pleasing others.  :)

Colour Me Beautiful: Peonies inspiration board

Launching ‘Colour me Me Pretty’

Hi everyone and thank you so much for checking out ‘Colour Me Pretty’ blog post.

‘Colour Me Pretty’ is a series of wedding inspiration boards with thoughtfully curated content and ideas from weddings published in some of the greatest style magazines. Here, I will be showing the weddings that inspire me, that will hopefully inspire you, and that in my opinion have struck the balance between modern design, timeless looks and colours that compliment each other.

In essence

Our first wedding colour collection is soft pink, blush, fuschia and navy. It is no coincidence that I start with this collection. I used these very resources to help myself select the color scheme for our Blooming Peonies house collection, which you can now explore here.

Concept and Design

I started to brainstorm with the fact that I love peonies. They are fabulous and feminine wedding flowers and even though their peak season is in the summer you can find them in floral boutiques all year round.

In bloom, peonies consist of layer upon layer of petals that makes them look like a cloud fallen from Heaven in the form of flower. So I found a lot of wedding invitations and stationery designed in either vintage style or finished with a glitter element (which is lovely by the way), but I wanted to innovate and create something that is modern and totally unique.

Marry Feminine with Masculine

White, pale pink, fuschia and navy were just made to go hand in hand. The combination of these colors is great for the way it balances the feminine and masculine side of the wedding. I fell in love with the idea of including navy, so I added subtle navy ornament in the design of the wedding day stationery that completes the suite.

Is It For Us?

This is a fabulous color scheme for couples who want to create fresh wedding style and make a statement. Judging by the inspiration boards on Pinterest and the most popular wedding style websites, this colour scheme was used virtually by a handful of weddings – making it a superb opportunity to make your wedding truly outstanding with just the right amount of modern twist.

A little party never killed nobody at this Californian Gatsby wedding

The Great Gatsby theme has been a style hit over the last few years and we were delighted to design a wedding day stationery package for this fabulous Californian wedding reception of Renee and Justin.

Renee is a very special bride for us because she was our first ever customer on Esty and some of our first products were born from her vision combined with our skills.

The distinctive elegant and classy look of the 30s was achieved with the typical for this time crystals, pearls, feathers and modern vintage art – ours!

We designed a range of wedding decor items in black, ivory and book pages. The suite included

  • table numbers
  • personalised napkin rings
  • gift tags, guest book
  • unity candle wrap
  • and a social media sign with their wedding hashtag

We believe that “among the whisperings, and the champagne, and the stars” this wedding will never get out of style, just like the lovely Renee and Justin.

Modern and out-of-this-world destination wedding in Bali, Indonesia

Modern and out-of-this-world destination wedding in Bali, Indonesia

This is the wedding of Natalie and Brian. They live in Australia and they said I Do in one of the most exclusive destinations in the world – Bali. We are so happy that they chose Love Storey to supply them with scented sandal wood fans and create personalised gift tags for each of their guests.

Even the tiniest detail and stationery piece is an extension of your wedding style and for us it’s great to see our products being enjoyed at weddings with style so similar to our own.

We love the plain white bouquets. We adore the stunningly beautiful Natalie (and Brian of course) in her pure white dress with a touch of feathers in which she looks like she just stepped off a cloud… but most of all we love the warmth and unique vibe of this wedding where nothing is over-designed and modern meets classy.
